A sustainable concept – developed over 30 years ago by Marcel Mézy

Marcel Mazoyer (Professor at the University of Paris XI, author of the book “Larousse agricole”, Prof. em. for Agricultural Development at the Institut National Agronomique Paris Grignon, President of the Economic and Agricultural Sociology Department of the INRA and President of the FAO Programme Committee) describes Quaterna® as a discovery ahead of its time. It heralds the third agricultural revolution! A unique concept for soil improvement that has been used successfully by many farmers for over 20 years. A process that is able to produce humus quickly and increase soil fertility regardless of climate and soil type or composition.

Quaterna® Terra and Quaterna® Activa were invented by Marcel Mèzy. Quaterna® Terra is approved according to the French standard (AMENDEMENT ORGANIQUE NF U44-051). These are soil conditioners and compost starters, which consist of different materials of plant and mineral origin as well as a multitude of plants, which are composted with natural microorganisms of the Marcel MEZY Technology®. You can purchase the products directly from SOBAC.

Quaterna® Terra and Quaterna® Activa improve soil structure and fertility. You need no longer a complete fertilizer, no trace elements and no further soil additives. The numerous users of Quaterna® also significantly reduce their nitrogen fertilization.

The nutrients are converted and then bind to humus complexes. They remain available for the plants and can be absorbed by them as needed. The storage of clay-humus complexes significantly reduces leaching losses and thus water pollution…

Numerous trials, carried out by independent laboratories, institutes, agricultural organizations, as well as the daily experiences of thousands of farmers over the last 20 years have shown the following:

  • improving the quality of agricultural land
  • improved quality of plant growth for better animal health
  • stable revenues
  • an increase in agricultural incomes
For an ecological and economic agriculture – self-sufficient, profitable, sustainable!
